Canterbury Senior Surf Life Saving Champs Recap

North Beach Surf Life Saving Club made a splash at the Canterbury Champs hosted by our club at North Beach on the 19th and 20th of January 2024. The action-packed weekend kicked off on Friday evening with fierce competition in the canoes, featuring our U19 women's team, open women's and two open men's teams. The dedication and skill of our athletes were evident as they secured commendable placements.

Saturday brought forth a series of thrilling events, including sprints, sprint relays, and water events. Despite our small but resilient team, which included both seasoned lifeguards and enthusiastic newcomers, North Beach Surf Life Saving Club shone bright in our events. The commitment and hard work paid off with several placings throughout the competition, leading to an impressive 6th place overall. The Canterbury Champs showcased the club's competitive spirit and highlighted the strong sense of camaraderie and community that defines North Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
